Our mission is to support the heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC&R) industry through its digital transformation. We act as a bridge between manufacturers’ inhouse databases and market applications, with the aim to make product data management easier, and to create a trustworthy source of information for construction professionals.
Central to our services is the PRODBIM web BIM Library and dedicated BIM search engine, linking construction professionals with up-to-date, hamonised BIM objects and associated product data. Powered by a PIM portal, we help manufacturers to not only create, structure and upload BIM objects and related digital assets, but to manage and distribute data centrally, from one dynamic tool.
PRODBIM is at the forefront of the digitalisation of construction, working towards delivering a harmonised database of BIM objects and product templates, according to the ISO IFC standard and CEN, as well as formats for BIM software and regulations.
As part of Eurovent Certita Certification (ECC), we focus our efforts on supporting manufacturers large and small. Our dedicated team of experts are specialists in BIM process and requirements for the HVAC&R market. Our knowledge of the industry, manufacturing and associated regulations - including the European Product Registry for Energy Labelling (EPREL) - ensures your BIM objects and associated data is released to the latest Standards and formats, and includes everything your client needs for the full lifecycle of the project.
So, whether you are starting out on your digitalisation journey, or established and seeking to harmonise your data to grow your reach with clients and construction professionals, we have a range of services for you.
Our consultancy and BIM services are open to all HVAC&R manufacturers, so if you require support with your content digitalisation and publication, we are here to help. PRODBIM services include:
Our BIM for manufacturers page goes into detail about the issues facing manufacturers and the solutions PRODBIM and its specialist partners provide.
Harmonisation is central to everything we do. BIM has evolved rapidly over the years, which has led to numerous referentials (different classifications, data dictionaries etc.) being used to describe building products and equipment. This has resulted in both current and future compatibility issues, as BIM objects are structured in different ways, and not all include useable, or even useful data.
Our team is at the forefront of harmonising data, continuously creating and improving mapping between key referentials, while collaboratively developing a "pivot" classification. We are part of the international team feeding into the development of CEN/TC 442- Building Information Modelling (BIM), a structured set of standards, specifications and reports which specify methodologies to define, describe, exchange, monitor, record and securely handle asset data, semantics and processes. Additionally we serve a prominent position in developing the BIM ecosystem as a Board member of BuildingSMART French chapter, and Eurovent working groups linked with digitalisation and regulation.
BIM is still evolving which means the industry will have to continually adapt over the coming years. It is therefore very important to make choices today, that will allow for reactivity tomorrow. We know certified manufacturers are at the forefront of product evolution, and so as part of Eurovent Certita Certification we offer a range of services to help both digitalise and promote certified products, including:
We are convinced that collaboration around OpenBIM is the best way to bring the full benefits of BIM to product data. To this end, PRODBIM relies on several key knowledge partners including:
